Charlton got his Associates in Arts degree from Miami Dade Community College and Bachelors of Science in Music Education at Florida A&M University. Certified in Special Education and Reading in grades K-12. He presently teaches in Cobb County Schools. He is currently the director of Steel band, Jazz band, a singing ensemble and several other musical clubs. A private instructor in guitar, piano and percussion.
